We cater to both city dwellers and those in rural settings, offering a link back to nature and the delight of observing some of Mother Nature's most colorful and elegant creatures.
Our Story
Founded in 2019 by the visionary Congo/Belgian philanthropist Jean Kiala-Inkisi, AOBA emerged from a profound recognition of the need for breed standards and quality care in African poultry and animal breeding. Inspired by a visit to Kenya, Jean observed the prevalent importation of European poultry for quantity over quality and the challenges in finding purebred animals. Noting a growing popularity of exotic breeds at the expense of indigenous varieties, he was driven to establish AOBA as a counterpart to European and South African breeding organizations.
Our mission is to safeguard native breeds while monitoring and supporting exotic breeds throughout West, Central, and East Africa. We are also open to members from North and Southern Africa, ensuring a comprehensive network of breeders dedicated to excellence and preservation.
